Travel back in time to an era that forever changed the entire course of Ohio's history.

Check out Nan & Earl Miller’s recent experience on their trip here in Historic Roscoe Village.

Live out our history and immerse yourself in Ohio's rich heritage.

Roscoe Village sets the scene as the restored 1830s port town reveals a glimpse into what it would be like to live a day in the life.  Complete with a blacksmith (seasonal), digital kiosks, and even an activity center to try your hand at the many unique crafts of the time, our History Tours will whisk you away to yesteryear.

Discover an array of local artisans and boutiques as you stroll down the brick paved sidewalks and enjoy decadent eats and treats throughout the village restaurant and pubs.

What Makes Roscoe Village Unique?

Roscoe Village expands education and knowledge of the region's canal era, and beyond.

At Roscoe Village, there is always more to explore. The main floor of the Visitor Center has detailed dioramas, intricate maps and models of the canal and lock system, a 15-minute canal history video, and retail store. Whitewoman Street includes the Village Smithy, the Hay Craft & Learning Center, Dr. Maro Johnson’s Office, Dr. Maro Johnson’s Home and Kitchen & Pantry, the Craftsman’s House and the Roscoe School.

The nationally accredited Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum drives curiosity and inspires all ages to dive into the past with collections of, but not limited to, American Indian, Historic Ohio, Decorative Arts, and East Asian artifacts.
