The History of the John Dredge Building - c.1846
This building was built in 1846 by John Dredge and sold to Christopher Miller the same year. John Dredge made furniture and owned a chair factory in the village. After Miller died in 1847, the ownership changed to James C. Harrison. In 1856, he opened the Harrison Tin Shop, a hardware store and sheet iron manufacturer in this location.
Today, this historic building is home to Roscoe Sweets & Treats. This charming candy shop offers over 1,000 different candies and chocolates. You will be delighted to find vintage favorites, along with hard-to-find items.
